OUR STORY

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDERS

Dear friends and partners,

Next year will mark our 25th anniversary of success in providing a global education experience to American children. The road to success was never easy, but for the enormous support from the community of parents, students, educators, and local businesses shows that it was worth it.

Our journey started in 1999 when left Ukraine for the United States. Soon after settling down we started helping immigrants from different countries transition and integrate in the American society. That’s when we got the idea of opening a tuition-free public charter school with a global vision in the United States. Driven by this idea and the passion to help families of immigrants we opened our first school in Sacramento, California, with only the support of our family and a handful of friends who believed in our vision. The school has grown from 220 students to five campuses serving more than 3,000 students solely in the Sacramento area. Today this school is known as the Community Outreach Academy.

Passionate about extending the global education experience to students of Florida, our family moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where the Global Outreach Charter Academy was born. In 2009, the Global Outreach Charter Academy of Jacksonville welcomed its first 232 students. Today the school boasts four beautiful campuses and serves almost 2,000 students. Next year we are opening our fifth campus, where our global education program will be infused with art-based curriculum.

The demand for our unique educational model has been growing beyond California and Florida. This past year we have been working tirelessly with a passionate community of parents and educators in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to open our new campus. The Global Academy of South Carolina already has a big waiting list of students.

We are valued by our parents, educators and entrepreneurs for our global mission and unique educational model. Our priority has been serving the needs of Title 1 (low-income) children and immigrants. We are grateful for the opportunity to impact the lives of the next generation through quality education together with school staff, parents, experts, partners and sponsors. Together we can do so much for the benefit of American society.
